Welcome to the Kansas City Torah Connection!

HISTORY:  The KCTC grew out of the cooperative fellowship of Raytown FBC Jewish Roots Ministry. The congregation HaDerekh Chaim, aka The Way of Life, grew out of their Sunday School class. The Shawnee Jewish Roots grew out of HaDerekh Chaim. This group was later joined by the Antioch Jewish Roots Community in Overland Park, KS. Other groups included Beit Chayim Mayim in Sedalia, MO and  SHMA in Spring Hill, KS. (Now Olathe Torah Community.)

DESCRIPTION: The KCTC is an association or a cooperative body made up of autonomous or individual small groups. The KCTC will be in operation of a community center which will result in the planting of more congregations.

AFFILIATION: The KCTC is affiliated with SOUTHERN BAPTIST MESSIANIC FELLOWSHIP, but provisionally open to other Messianic and Jewish Roots fellowships.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the KCTC  is to assist local autonomous congregations in the following areas:

a.      Outreach, inclusive to all peoples, especially Jewish cultural contexts.

b.      Discipleship, teaching all people the Torah, ie the Bible, and the manner in which we follow Yeshua

c.       Festivals, celebrating all Biblical Festivals, in honor of God and in obedience to Him.

d.      Developing our children (L’Dor V’Dor) from generation to generation.  (The KCTC will begin a process of developing children’s materials.)

e.       Caring for those in need

VISION: The vision of KCTC is to plant and to grow new  small groups and organizations that will multiply by growing additional small groups and organizations.

MISSION:  The mission of KCTC is to fulfill  the commandment of Yeshua the Messiah in accordance with First Commission of Matthew 10:5-6, to share the Good News with Lost Sheep of Israel, and in accordance with Matthew 28:19-20, to share the Good News and make disciples of all nations.

The Mission Statement of KCTC is to love the Lord our God and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
